  Emergency Radiology Trauma Nocturnist: 13 weeks of clinical duty per year   Job Description: The Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine is seeking a full-time Radiologist to join the thriving, expanding Division of Emergency and Trauma Imaging (ETI). Position opening is to replace a radiologist leaving the practice.   The nocturnist position rotates 1 week on (9-hour shift, 10p-7am for 7 days) and 3 weeks off (inclusive of recovery, vacation, CME, academics). This equates to 91 clinical shifts per year. The Division as a whole provides emergent interpretations at 7 Emory-affiliated hospitals. The nocturnist will focus their clinical care exclusively at one of the Southeast’s busiest Level 1 trauma centers (Grady Memorial Hospital), providing remote or onsite interpretations overnight in conjunction with trainees. The primary clinical scope will involve trauma imaging (CT and XR), with additional non-trauma ED imaging to be interpreted as time permits. We promote a hybrid of both on-site and remote work.   Candidates should have a demonstrated career interest in Emergency Imaging, possess strong clinical skills, highly function in the fast-paced, time-sensitive emergency setting and work well in a collaborative environment. The Division operates 24/7/365.   Candidates should be prepared to participate in both the clinical and non-clinical divisional activities, including education and trainee supervision. The Atlanta Long COVID Collaborative is accepting applications for a postdoctoral fellowship position through the Emory University School of Medicine Department of Medicine. This position is funded by the Agency of Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) and is renewable on an annual basis depending on performance. The fellowship provides training through applied mixed methods design, health surveillance data analysis and dissemination, and practical experience working with local and national Long COVID patient advocates and community partners to support a mission to improve access to coordinated person-centered Long COVID healthcare. The post-doctoral fellow would have access to many opportunities to engage with multidisciplinary team of faculty within Emory School of Medicine, including subject matter experts in the fields of Pulmonology/Critical Care/Sleep Medicine, Cardiology, Immunology, Infectious Diseases, Gastroenterology, Rheumatology, Neurology, Neuropsychology, Psychology, General Medicine, and Geriatrics. We are one of the few pediatric programs with an NIH-funded T32 training grant in non-malignant hematology - The Aflac Developmental Therapeutics Program offers a wide portfolio of clinical trials from cooperative groups, industry partners, and investigator-initiated studies, and has a larger referral base in the southeastern United States. Aflac is a member of the COG Pediatric Early Phase Clinical Trials Network (PEP-CTN), NANT, TACL, and PBTC. - The MIBG and Relapsed Neuroblastoma Program is the largest in the southeast and has treated ~100 patients with therapeutic MIBG since its inception in 2013. - Aflac is a leading contributor to the Children’s Oncology Group, having been #1 in therapeutic trial enrollments for the past 2 years and annually in the top 4. This position will devote the majority of effort to clinical responsibilities in the Aflac Cancer & Blood Disorders Center at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.   Provide pediatric psychological services for the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center patients on the Bone Marrow Transplant and general consultation-liaison services, which would constitute 100% of your total effort. The breakdown of your 1.00 FTE will be: - The final distribution of time will be arranged in discussion with, but ultimately at the discretion of, the Aflac Psychology & Neuropsychology Program Leader. - Provide effective delivery of services consultation liaison and psychotherapy) appropriate to the patient's specific needs and severity level of disability or impairment. Integrate infection control and body substance precautions, patient safety, body mechanics, and knowledge of growth and development. This includes referral to outside agencies as appropriate. - Demonstrate technical competence in: - Provision of appropriate assessment and treatment, including modifications for special population(s). - Ongoing development and successful implementation of assessment standards and treatment plans that support established goals. - Timely documentation of weekly/monthly treatment notes and assessment reports following established standards. - Completion of discharge and follow-up according to departmental standards, including liaison services to patient's local school systems to assist with school re-entry and consultation for IEP development, as appropriate. - Demonstrates and practices family-centered care: - Maintains a therapeutic relationship with patient and family; - Communicates relevant information at the patient's and family's level of understanding; - Identifies patient/family need for services from ancillary departments and provides follow-up and referral as necessary; includes family/caregiver participation in all phases of the patient's program. - Evaluates patient and family psychosocial needs and provides appropriate direction to the team to meet these needs, emphasizing minimizing duplication and increasing efficiency. - Demonstrate commitment to continuous professional growth and improvement, meeting required continuing education standards. - Provide clinical supervision to fellows, interns, staff, students and other employees as assigned. - Demonstrate a pattern of personal excellence and ongoing contributions in teaching and research. - Play a role in the education and training program of the Pediatric Hem/Onc/BMT Division. This would involve access to and involvement with Ph.D. and medical students, post-doctoral and clinical fellows, and physicians in practice. - Participate in an annual review, by the Director of the Aflac Psychology & Neuropsychology, regarding your activities. Qualifications include a doctorate from an APA/CPA-accredited program in Clinical, Counseling or School Psychology, completion of an APA/CPA-accredited internship, and completion of a two-year Neuropsychological Fellowship with a specific focus in pediatric neuropsychology. Applicants must be licensed or license-eligible to practice in Georgia and eligible for board certification in Clinical Neuropsychology.
