We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled physician to lead our nation's largest inpatient pediatric cardiology unit. As the director, you will be responsible for managing a diverse range of cardiac disease states, including acute and chronic conditions in pediatric patients. This will involve overseeing the care of medical patients with cardiovascular diseases, as well as pre-operative and post-operative pediatric cardiac surgical patients.   In addition to providing clinical care, you will play a vital role in establishing a strategic plan for our acute care unit. Your leadership skills will be crucial in guiding and developing these individuals, as well as advanced practice providers.   This position will require expertise in managing a high acuity non-intensive care unit, where you will be responsible for delivering various therapies, including vasoactive infusions, mechanical support, and noninvasive respiratory support. Experience with heated high flow nasal cannula initiation and titration is preferred. Your responsibilities will encompass all aspects of patient care, from admission to ongoing diagnostic and therapeutic management, to discharging a wide spectrum of patients. The Center for Behavioral and Mental Health at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta in conjunction with the Divisions of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, & Nutrition and Allergy and Immunology within the Department of Pediatrics, Emory University School of Medicine, are expanding mental health services for medically complex children.   This position focuses on providing clinical care in two primary areas: (1) Providing screening, assessment, and behavioral health intervention for children and parents with allergic diseases, particularly food allergy, seen through the Emory+Children’s Food Allergy Center; and (2) Providing assessment and behavioral health interventions for children with gastrointestinal conditions and their families. There are opportunities to participate in program development for both allergy and psychogastroenterology clinic programming.   The clinician will join one practicing pediatric psychologist in the Food Allergy Program and two practicing pediatric psychologists in Gastroenterology in addition to 25+ pediatric psychologists across the Children’s system. We are seeking individuals who are interested in joining a dedicated team of professionals seeking to provide the highest quality care to children with pediatric food allergy and gastrointestinal disease. The clinician will join an active multidisciplinary team that includes professionals from Medicine (allergists/immunologists, gastroenterologists, advanced practice providers) and Nutrition. The clinician will be responsible for maintaining their own case load in each of the programs, with patients primarily referred by the treating medical team.   Successful candidates will have specific clinical training and skills related to the assessment and intervention of psychosocial needs associated with medical illness. Marcus Autism Center, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Emory University Department of Pediatrics are conducting a search for a doctoral-level clinician (i.e., psychologist or BCBA-D) with specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and early treatment of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in children to provide clinical care and to support the growth of our ABA Therapy Program.   This position primarily focuses on providing clinical care, as well as clinical case management and supervision of Master’s-level Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) providing intervention to children targeting core deficits of autism. Children seen in the program receive 1:1 intervention delivered by Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) for 3 hours/day, 5 days/week in a clinic setting. The program emphasizes early and focused treatment targeting social communication and play skills, strives to ensure children are ready to move to a less-intensive setting by discharge, and heavily involves caregivers in their child’s intervention. The ABA Therapy program relies on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis to inform treatment strategies, and utilizes a developmentally-appropriate approach to targeting skill deficits. The program also has several active ongoing research projects investigating the most effective and efficient ways to target core deficits of ASD. In the past year, the program has expanded beyond the Atlanta location to establish locations in both Cumming and Sandy Springs and has plans for continued growth. We are seeking individuals who are interested in joining a dedicated team of professionals seeking to provide the highest quality care to children with ASD. The clinician will be responsible for maintaining their own case load in the program, as well as providing mentorship and oversight to several BCBA providers across multiple program locations. The clinician will join a multidisciplinary treatment team that includes professionals from speech/language pathology, medicine, and care coordination/social work. The Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Emory University School of Medicine is expanding. The Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Emory University Department of Pediatrics, invite applications for faculty hospitalist positions to provide care for hospitalized children in pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplantation. Responsibilities will include overnight inpatient care. Qualified candidates should be Board Certified/Eligible in Pediatrics, Hematologist/Oncologists, and preference will be given to applicants who are board certified/eligible in pediatric hematology/oncology. This is a clinical position with a rank of assistant or associate professor depending on experience and accomplishments.   Clinical Responsibilities: • Provide outstanding clinical care to patients undergoing BMT and cellular therapy. The individual will be the first call on the ward for these patients at night, and is expected to function independently but with back up from the appropriate fellow or attending. • Clinical service time includes weeknight, weekend night, and holiday in-house shifts. Additionally, assistance with general hematology and oncology, and some weekday responsibilities may be required as necessary to meet the needs of the division. • Participate in and incorporates Quality Improvement and research findings into practice. • Provide and/or serve as a resource for patient/family and staff education. • Provide patient care within the respective clinical area which complies with the Professional Staff Bylaws, rules and regulations and Children’s policies and procedures. • Complete necessary documentation and ensure communication to facilitate patient care and appropriate reimbursement. • Participate in meetings/activities as required to support operations of the clinical area. • Participate in activities that enhance professional development, complete and maintain certification in BLS and PALS and maintain any additional specialty training/certifications as required by the area assigned. • Perform other responsibilities as required.
