The principal goal of the fellowship is to prepare trainees to become outstanding glaucoma specialists and anterior segment surgeons in either an academic or community setting. Graduates will gain the ability to not only assess and diagnose the various glaucomatous diseases, but to develop appropriate and effective medical and surgical treatment plans as well. 

The candidate will be study factors that regulate mitochondrial priming and its role in therapeutic responses in multiple myeloma. Studies will be mechanistic in nature but with a goal for translating to developing novel treatment approaches in this disease. Background in cell and molecular biology and experience and an understanding of apoptotic pathways is required. Experience with bioinformatics and/or other quantitative approaches is preferred.
