Few effective medical therapies are available for patients with neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs) and few models are available for drug testing. Our lab has recently developped 3 novel patient-derived models of these rare cancers. Two of our models express high levels of the chemokine receptor 4 (CXCR4). The goal of this project is to investigate the usage of CXCR4 inhibitors in NENs and identify synergistic combination therapies as treatment options.
