Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine
Grady Health System
Academic Anatomic Pathologist
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine is seeking applicants for a full-time academic position in Cytopathology and Surgical Pathology based at Grady Memorial Hospital, a large public academic hospital that serves Atlanta and the surrounding community.
We seek a non-tenure track pathologist at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor to join an interactive, collegial group of faculty who evaluate a wide variety of cytologic and surgical specimens. Emory University has one of the largest AP/CP residencies in the country, 12 accredited subspecialty fellowships, and close ties to the NCI-designated Winship Cancer Center, creating abundant opportunities for clinical and translational scholarship and teaching (see www.pathology.emory.edu).
Applicants must hold MD or MD/PhD degrees and be board eligible or certified in Anatomic Pathology and also be eligible for medical licensure in Georgia. The position will be a mix of surgical pathology and cytopathology with the expectation to assist the division with regulatory aspects of cytopathology. Fellowship training in cytopathology is highly desirable, as well as fellowship training in a surgical pathology subspecialty. Compensation and faculty rank will be commensurate with qualifications.
