The Division of Pediatric Neurology with the Emory + Children's Pediatric Institute (Emory University School of Medicine + Children's Healthcare of Atlanta) is seeking a generalist in Neurology with interests in clinical services through Emory's pediatric faculty practice plan in the School of Medicine, the largest pediatric multispecialty practice in Georgia. We are expanding to meet the needs of the growing pediatric community. We are committed to giving children a bright future by providing the highest quality state-of-the-art clinical care and improving how we care for children through scientific research, as well as, training the next generation of leaders in pediatrics.
Our Pediatric Neurology Division
Our pediatric neurology team consists of 22 neurologists, soon to become 25 who are all faculty members in the Department of Pediatrics at the Emory School of Medicine, and we are looking to expand our division even further.
Emory Pediatric Neurology services are offered in collaboration with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, ranked as one of the best hospitals for children in the United States by U.S. News & World Report. The Pediatric Neurosciences Program at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is ranked 12th in the USA by USNWR and one of the largest in the country, handling more than 2,400 pediatric neurological inpatient cases and performing over 1,400 neurosurgeries each year.
The neurology faculty is involved with many clinical research studies ranging from clinical trials to basic and translational research. Faculty progress their career by collaborating with our adult neurology, Emory neurosciences program, Georgia Tech and Marcus autism center.
With the Center for Disease Control and Prevention nearby, there are many opportunities for collaborations on national and international projects as well.
Board Eligible/Board certified
Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Georgia
Current DEA registration
BLS certification is required. PALS certification

Provides patient care within the respective clinical area which complies with the Professional Staff Bylaws, rules and regulations and Children’s policies and procedures.

Provides and/or serves as a resource for patient/family and staff education.
Provides an authenticated report of all physician services rendered and maintains accurate and complete records in an acceptable manner.
Completes necessary documentation and ensures communication to facilitate patent care and appropriate reimbursement.
Participates in meetings/activities as required to support operations of the clinical area.
Participates in activities that enhance professional development, complete and maintain certification in BLS, PALS, or NALS (by 12/31/01) and maintains any additional specialty training/certifications as required by the area assigned.
Performs other responsibilities as required.
Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.
Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.
