Description

The Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic Surgery, Emory University School of Medicine is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible plastic surgeon to join its faculty as an instructor. The successful applicant will be expected to participate in clinical research through the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Department of Surgery. The successful applicant will also maintain an active clinical presence at an Emory Clinic or Emory hospital site. Applicants should have a strong desire to develop an academic career in plastic surgery including clinical research.

 

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A valid, unrestricted medical license to practice medicine in the State of Georgia
  • A controlled Substance Registration Drug Enforcement Administration Certificate

The minimum qualifications for medical faculty are a doctoral degree from an accredited school, successful completion of an accredited residency program, and Board certification or eligibility, if applicable, in the area of specialization. Georgia medical licensure, D.E.A. registration, and malpractice insurance coverage must be obtainable. The candidate must be able to demonstrate legal status permitting him/her to work under applicable United States immigration laws.
