The Emory University School of Medicine and the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory in Atlanta, Georgia are recruiting experienced oncologists to provide direct patient care, educate fellows, and participate in clinical research at the campus of Emory Decatur Hospital. The Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology has a growing faculty, with practices at multiple locations in metro Atlanta. Emory seeks candidates having a M.D. or equivalent degree who are board certified and eligible for licensure in GA and who will collaborate successfully with colleagues and other specialists to build the Emory program at Decatur while providing the high-quality care for which the Winship Cancer Institute and Emory Healthcare are known.
Clinical responsibilities (full-time) include outpatient consultation and treatment, long-term management, inpatient consultation at multiple locations, rotating inpatient attending service and call coverage responsibility, and multi-disciplinary collaboration with other Emory Winship cancer specialists. Other duties include fellowship education, clinical research, and community service. Competitive candidates will have a strong clinical background, in medical oncology and/or malignant hematology, and experience in education.
Hematology and Medical Oncology is an autonomous Department in the Emory School of Medicine, and physicians are members of The Emory Clinic, Inc. Programs and services are located at Emory University Hospital, Emory University Hospital Midtown, Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Emory Johns Creek Hospital, Emory Decatur Hospital, Emory at Buford, the Atlanta Veterans’ Administration Medical Center, and the Grady Health System.
