Description

Emory University, School of Medicine, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) and affiliated hospitals has a fellowship position opening in Pediatric Interventional Radiology for July 2020. The fellow will be joining a fast-paced, complex, and entirely pediatric IR practice. Clinic experiences will be generated in the multi-disciplinary Children’s Vascular Anomalies Clinic as well as dedicated interventional radiology clinics. The pediatric IR fellow is expected to have basic technical skills including central venous access, percutaneous biopsy, percutaneous drain placement, venous thrombolysis, and endovascular embolization procedures.

 

Our group’s research productivity includes multiple publications per year in leading peer reviewed, pediatric and radiology journals. The fellow would receive support and encouragement to publish at least one publication in a peer-reviewed journal and present the findings of a scientific abstract at a national meeting (Society for Pediatric Interventional Radiology, Society for Pediatric Radiology, and/or Society of Interventional Radiology). 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must have completed or be scheduled to complete an ACGME (American) or RCPSC (Canadian) accredited interventional radiology residency or diagnostic radiology residency with additional years training in interventional radiology prior to July 1 of the fellowship year. Qualified applicants must hold an MD degree or equivalent and meet requirements for medical licensure in the state of Georgia.
