The Emory University Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery is seeking an experienced Audiologist at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor level to develop and oversee a very busy Clinical Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensing service. Patient services offered include routine audiometry, advanced audiometric testing techniques, cochlear implant evaluation and programming, vestibular testing and hearing aid dispensing.
The Director, Audiology will assume responsibility for the Audiology Division. Responsibilities include:
• Facilitate the development, implementation, and on-going enhancement of Audiology (clinical, academic, research missions) • Support interdisciplinary as well as interdepartmental collaborative practice • Develop research protocols in collaboration with physician providers • Manage the audiology budget • Foster positive and professional interpersonal relationships with patients, families, physicians, administration, hospital staff, community agency representatives • Support clinical education guidelines for Audiology Externship
Requires: PhD or AuD in Audiology or related field. Seven or more years of audiology clinical experience. Two to three years of experience in an audiology leadership role. True passion for building (entrepreneurial spirit, drive to execute, results-oriented). Eligibility to obtain Georgia State Audiology license prior to start date. ASHA certification.
