The Emory University Department of Rehabilitation Medicine seeks a Pain Psychologist to join our clinical faculty. Responsibilities include psychological diagnostic assessment and psychotherapeutic intervention with inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, neurology, orthopedic, oncology, surgery, and other chronic pain patients. Position carries a full time academic appointment in the Emory University School of Medicine (initial academic rank and opportunities for promotion with or without tenure based on qualifications). Academic responsibilities include clinical supervision of externs, interns, and postdoctoral fellows; classroom teaching in the medical school; and development of a program of independent or collaborative research. The Emory Rehabilitation Hospital is a CARF and JCAHO accredited facility that includes dedicated inpatient neurorehabilitation, stroke, and orthopedic injury programs, a day rehabilitation program, and outpatient services.
Candidates for the position must have earned a doctorate from an APA-accredited program, have completed an APA-accredited internship, and be licensed (or license eligible) to practice psychology in Georgia. Board certification in a relevant clinical psychology specialty is expected within two years of hiring.
