Emory University Department of Anesthesiology faculty provide medical direction in a care team model and teaching/education opportunities are abundant. We encourage our team to pursue a variety of academic pathways and prospective faculty can expect protected non-clinical time and ample opportunity to pursue academic endeavors. Our faculty have a wide-breadth of expertise in basic science and clinical research, quality improvement processes, data analytics, and health service projects (local, national and international). Anesthesiologists at Emory University hold leadership roles within the hospital and health system level. We collaborate with faculty at Georgia Tech, the Center for Disease Control, The Emory School of Medicine, the School of Public Health and the Emory School of Law to develop new knowledge, change the practice of medicine and to build innovative and creative careers.
Georgia Medical License, Board Eligible or Board Certified in Anesthesiology, Completion of a Fellowship for Anesthesia Specialties (Critical Care, Cardiothoracic, Neuroanesthesia, OB, Liver Transplant, Pediatrics, or Pain) is beneficial.
