The Wainford lab is conducting cutting-edge research into blood pressure regulation, focusing on the effects of dietary salt intake and age. Our translational research utilizes animal models of hypertension and human samples/tissues. We address our research hypotheses using integrated whole animal, genetic, molecular biology, histological, and behavioral technique.
