Description

The Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing is seeking a part-time faculty member to teach in our Master in Cardiovascular Perfusion Science program. This position will begin the Fall semester 2026 and will be a 50% 9 month position. The position involves face to face instruction, supervision, and evaluation of students’ performance in various clinical, skills laboratory, and simulation settings. Consequently the individual who is hired for the position must reside in commutable distance to the School of Nursing’s on the main Emory University campus as well as the Emory Nursing Learning Center in Decatur, Georgia.

We are seeking applications from certified perfusionists who have graduated from an accredited perfusion program and hold a Master’s degree or higher from an accredited university/college.  Priority will be given to individuals with teaching experience. Master’s prepared individuals will be hired as clinical instructors, to be appointed to ranks of Assistant Professor or higher; individuals must have a doctorate and peer-reviewed publications. Appointments and rank will be determined based on credentials and experience. Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited university/college
  • Graduation from an accredited perfusion program

Experience:

  • Must hold or be eligible for and obtain licensure as a perfusionist in the State of Georgia prior to official start date
