    The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine seeks a truly outstanding academic pathologist to lead its Division of Anatomic Pathology.  This Division comprises 40 physician faculty who together serve five major teaching hospitals in an expanding healthcare system.  Ranked among the top 10 for both NIH-funded research and high-impact scholarship in pathology, our Department has an academically accomplished, diverse, and collegial faculty; superb facilities; a large and highly competitive residency; accredited fellowships in 13 subspecialties; close ties to Emory’s renowned Transplant, AIDS, and Comprehensive Cancer Centers; and a shared commitment to excellence in clinical service, teaching, and scholarship (http://www.pathology.emory.edu/index.html).
     
    We seek an AP Director with a strong academic focus, diagnostic skill, dedication to faculty mentorship and development in a supportive culture, and a record of professional and administrative leadership.  There is ample opportunity for recruitment and directed growth of the Division in years ahead.  The successful candidate will hold an M.D. or equivalent degree with Board certification in Anatomic Pathology, and will be eligible for medical licensure in Georgia as well as for appointment to the rank of Professor.  Subspecialty expertise is preferred.
