A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the Michailidis Lab at Emory University. The lab focuses on Virus-Host interactions using innovative tools including state-of-the-art targeted and whole-genome CRISPR screens, bulk and single-cell transcriptomics and a set of molecular, virological and biochemical assays across different viruses (HBV, HIV). The lab has also a special interest in liver-related studies including viral hepatitis, fatty-liver disease, and immunometabolism employing advanced primary human hepatocyte culture systems and humanized liver-chimeric mice. The lab is housed in the modern and open-space Health Sciences and Research Building. Emory is located in the suburbs of Atlanta, a vibrant metropolitan city that combines city life attractions inside a forest landscape.
Candidates must be highly motivated, well organized, technically proficient, critically minded, and able to work independently but collaboratively with others. Candidates must possess a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD with a strong background in virology or other areas relevant to our research.

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
