The goal of the fellowship is to provide specialized training in robot assisted mitral, intracardiac and coronary adult cardiac surgery beyond cardiothoracic surgery residency training beginning in July of 2020. The Robotic Fellow will work at the direction of the Emory Robotic Center Medical Director, Douglas A. Murphy, MD and function at Emory St. Joseph’s Hospital. In addition, the fellow will obtain full privileges across the Emory System of Hospitals that perform cardiac surgery.
The Robotic Fellow will receive advanced training in and be responsible for the following knowledge areas and skills sets including, but not limited to:
Additional education and scholarly pursuits as determined by the Medical Director to support the mission of the Robotic Center.
