The Department of Gynecology & Obstetrics at Emory University is currently recruiting for two Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialists. New graduates and experienced practitioners are encouraged to apply for this open rank faculty position. Established more than 25 years ago, the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Division was one of the first specialty units in the country. Today it is part of the state-of-the-art Emory Regional Perinatal Center, the largest of only six regional high-risk infant care centers in the south.
Opportunities in Maternal Fetal Medicine exist at Emory University Hospital Midtown, a 511 bed institution that performs over 4,000 deliveries per year and at Grady Memorial Hospital, a 953 bed institution that performs over 3,000 deliveries per year with a Level III NICU and a Regional Perinatal Center. In addition to providing outstanding patient care and leadership for the Women’s Health Service Line at Emory University Hospital Midtown and providing clinical care in the Emory Regional Perinatal Center, faculty of the Maternal Fetal Medicine Division are responsible for teaching fellows in our ABOG approved program, residents and medical students, and participating in research and scholarship.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recently trained physician who is seeking a position that combines both academic and clinical care. Compensation is commensurate with training, experience and abilities.
Qualified candidates must have a terminal degree (MD or DO), successfully completed a 4-year ACGME-accredited obstetrics and gynecology residency program and be Board Eligible or Board Certified in obstetrics and gynecology. Licensure by the Georgia Composite Medical Board will be required prior to commencement of employment
