Assistant Coach Tennis
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Part-Time Assistant College Coach to join our team.
This role involves supporting the head coach in fostering a positive, competitive environment
while ensuring the health and safety of athletes. The ideal candidate will have prior coaching
experience, strong leadership skills, and a passion for student-athlete development. The assistant
coach assists the head coach in running a successful varsity program which competes as a
National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division III program and as a member of
the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA). This mainly includes recruiting student-
athletes, practice and competition coaching, design and implementation of competitive strategies
and advising and mentoring our student-athletes. The assistant must understand and promote the
mission, goals, values and educational ideals of Oxford College of Emory University.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of athletes on and off the court.
• Foster a community of healthy competition and sportsmanship among athletes.
• Plan and implement effective and engaging practice sessions.
• Assist with team management and logistics.
• Maintain open communication with athletes, coaches, and staff.
Qualifications:
• Previous coaching experience required.
• Ability to pass a driving and criminal background check.
• Availability for nights and weekends, August through May.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of student-athletes and
professional staff.
