We are seeking a highly motivated individual for a clinical exchange visit in the Department of Orthopedics at Emory University. The fellow will focus on observing the evaluation and management of spine surgery patients, particularly in the areas of cervical spine surgery, lumbar spine surgery, complex spinal deformity surgery, and surgery for spinal tumors. The exchange fellow will also actively engage in collaborative research and scholarly activities within the department.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Observation
Observe the evaluation and management of spine surgery patients under the guidance of Emory’s expert faculty. This will include involvement in the full spectrum of spine surgery procedures, with an emphasis on cervical spine surgery, lumbar spine surgery, complex spinal deformity surgery, and surgery for spinal tumors.
Research Collaboration
Collaborate with Emory faculty on current research projects, contributing ideas and expertise in the evaluation and treatment of spine-related conditions. Engage in joint research initiatives with a focus on advancing clinical practices and outcomes in spine surgery.
Departmental Participation
Participate in departmental clinical education and research activities, contributing to the exchange of knowledge and skills between international scholars. Attend and actively participate in seminars, workshops, conferences, and other educational activities organized by the department.
Presentation and Knowledge Sharing
Present findings, case studies, or research results at departmental meetings and group discussions. Contribute to the dissemination of knowledge within the Emory Orthopedic community and engage in academic exchanges with faculty and fellow scholars.
