Dr. Xiong’s laboratory is in the Department of Urology and the Winship Cancer Institute at Emory University, located in Atlanta, GA, USA. The Xiong lab primarily researches the development and diseases of the urinary system, particularly prostate cancer and kidney-related diseases. The lab uses a multidisciplinary approach, including cell and molecular biology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, immunology, and mouse genetic models, to study how metabolism (especially lipid metabolism) and cytokines regulate cell fate and function. The research spans from molecular mechanisms and cellular pathways to disease models. Notable publications include: Lyu et al., Mol. Biol. Cell 2023 PMID: 37163337; Jing et al., Mol. Biol.
