Emory University, School of Medicine, Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences is offering a full-time one year Cardiothoracic Imaging Fellowship. Fellows will gain experience in chest radiography, chest CT, CT/MR vascular imaging, cardiac MR and cardiac CT. Rotations will take place at several Emory University Hospitals and Grady Memorial Hospital. Fellows will be exposed to a diverse patient population with exposure to interstitial lung disease, lung transplantation, advanced cardiothoracic surgery, trauma and indigent care.
The Division of Cardiothoracic Imaging has various weekly/monthly clinical conferences and has a close working relationship with cardiology, pulmonary medicine, vascular surgery and cardiothoracic surgery services. Emory Healthcare is continuously upgrading with state-of-the-art equipment, including Siemens dual source Force, General Electric Revolution Apex, Canon Aquilion One and multiple of the Siemens, GE, Philips top CT scanners; on the MR side, Emory equipment include state-of-the-art systems such as Siemens 1.5-T Magnetom Altea, Magnetom Sola and Avanto, and 3-T Trio MRI scanners. Emory Healthcare systems also include a GE Signa PET/MR and Siemens 7T Terra system, both for clinical and research purposes.
Excellent research and teaching opportunities are available for the fellows. Fellows will be well qualified for either academic or private practice positions upon completion of this fellowship. The ideal candidate will have a track record for academic productivity and desire for professional advancement.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must be ABR Board-certified or eligible, complete a US or Canadian residency program and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted Georgia medical license.
