Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine

Autopsy Pathologist

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine is seeking a full-time non-tenure track Autopsy Pathologist at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor to provide autopsy coverage, as Director of the Autopsy Service, at Emory University Hospital and Emory University Hospital Midtown, a large academic medical center that serves the metro Atlanta area and the surrounding community.

The successful candidate will join an interactive, collegial group of faculty. The yearly autopsy volume is approximately 150 cases which includes a wide variety of interesting adult and pediatric cases. Emory University has one of the largest AP/CP residencies in the country, 12 accredited subspecialty fellowships, and close ties to the NCI-designated Winship Cancer Center, which creates abundant opportunities for clinical and translational scholarship and teaching (see www.pathology.emory.edu).

Qualified candidates will hold an MD, MD/PhD, or DO degree and be board eligible or certified in Anatomic Pathology. Applicants must also be eligible for medical licensure in Georgia. Additional expertise or fellowship training in a surgical pathology subspecialty is desirable, particularly perinatal and cardiothoracic pathology. Compensation and faculty rank will be commensurate with qualifications.

Please complete the online application and include your CV, cover letter and list of references.  Please direct inquiries to Elizabeth M. Genega, MD, care of Marcie Ansari at marcie.m.ansari@emory.edu.
