Description

The Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery at Emory University Healthcare is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Colorectal Surgeon, either Board Certified or Board Eligible, to join our team which is dedicated to advancing patient care, research, and education.  This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the academic mission of Emory University Healthcare while providing exceptional patient care.

 

The successful candidate will join the Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery at Emory University Healthcare. This position involves a combination of clinical care, academic pursuits, and participation in educational programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to excellence in patient care, a passion for academic endeavors, and a desire to contribute to the growth and reputation of the division.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct clinical duties, including colorectal surgeries and patient consultations.
  • Engage in academic activities, including research, publications, and presentations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Mentor and teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to the academic and research goals of the Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery.

 

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of an accredited general surgery residency program.
  • Board Certification or eligibility in Colorectal Surgery.
  • Eligibility for a medical license in the state of Georgia.
  • Commitment to academic excellence and scholarly activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
