The Emory University School of Medicine Department of Urology is seeking a full-time faculty member with fellowship training in Genitourinary and Reconstructive Urology to join the Emory Urology faculty practice based in Atlanta, GA.

The Department of Urology seeks to add urologist(s) with academic appointments as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor to a growing urology practice. The practice currently serves the Emory Healthcare System, Georgia’s most comprehensive academic medical center, as well as affiliated health systems. The Department’s general and sub-specialized urologists enjoy a large internal referral base from within the Emory network as well as across Georgia and neighboring states. This position may be based at Emory University Hospital - Midtown with and/or concurrent roles at a affiliate location such as the Atlanta VAMC.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in urinary tract and genital gender-affirming reconstructive surgery, urogynecologic reconstructive surgery, transitional urology, robotic reconstruction, and/or management of neurologic conditions affecting the urinary tract, and prosthetic surgery. We especially welcome applicants with demonstrated interest and experience in genital gender-affirmation surgery.

The successful faculty candidate will have an academic appointment as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor, commensurate with the Emory School of Medicine guidelines on faculty appointments. The candidate will be expected to maintain a productive, patient-oriented clinical practice. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of fellows, residents and medical students, and scholarly activity. Candidates may start as early as the 2024-2025 academic year.

General Qualifications:

• Board-certified/eligible urologist who must have completed an ACGME-accredited Urology residency and subsequent GURS fellowship or the equivalent.

• Must hold a valid, unrestricted medical license to practice medicine in the State of Georgia.

• Must possess a controlled Substance Registration Drug Enforcement Administration Certificate.
