Clinical Track Faculty to Coordinate Clinical Practicum Courses and Simulation Experiences
The Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing is committed to attracting diverse world-class faculty to advance the School’s mission to educate visionary nurse leaders and scholars, generate and apply knowledge, and transform nursing, health, and systems of health care within the local and global community. We are seeking applications for full-time clinical track faculty to support and advance our educational mission particularly related to clinical practicums and simulation. The successful candidate(s) will play key roles as clinical course coordinator; planning and overseeing clinical and/or simulation experiences within our pre-licensure and/or post-licensure nursing programs. Appointments may be made at the ranks of Senior Clinical Instructor, Assistant Clinical Professor, Associate Clinical Professor, or Full Clinical Professor, commensurate with experience and scholarship. APRN certification is required to lead clinical courses and practicums within our post-licensure programs.
Qualifications: Individuals must have doctoral preparation (DNP, PhD, EdD or equivalent). Teaching experience and expertise in diverse clinical areas is preferred, particularly in coordinating clinical practicum courses and simulation experiences. The individual will have a high level of interest and commitment to excellence in clinical and simulation education. Certification as a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) is also preferred or willingness to sit for CHSE in the first 6 months of employment. The Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing is committed to the professional growth of its faculty. The School will offset costs related to obtaining CHSE or similar simulation certifications for successful candidates. Candidates must hold or be eligible for licensure in the State of Georgia.
