The Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences at Emory University seeks a full-time remote Radiologist for a combined position within the Divisions of Community Radiology Specialists and Emergency and Trauma Imaging. This position would provide coverage for Emergency Department (ED) and Inpatient work, with significant compensation time. The work is engaging multispecialty work alongside a team of collegial and experienced imagers. The baseline schedule requirements would include:

  • 13 (5-day) work weeks of remote weekday evening shifts reading mixed ED and inpatient exams. These evening shifts would consist primarily of 12p-8p and 3p-10p weekday shifts
  • 13 (7-day) work weeks of remote weekday evening shifts reading mixed ED and inpatient exams (12p-8p and 3p-10p), followed by weekend 1-10p or 4p-12a shifts.
  • Total annual shift count: 130 weekday evenings and 26 weekend evening shifts per year, for a total shift count of 156.

This position can be fully remote from anywhere in the USA, excluding Alaska, Hawaii, and New Jersey. We have full time reading room coordinators who assist with provider communication. If radiologists wanted to do 12 shifts in a row followed by 2 weeks off, that is also an option.

Candidates should have an interest in acute care imaging, possess strong clinical skills in multiple modalities and organ systems, thrive in a fast-paced emergency and inpatient setting and work well in collaboration with other radiologists.

Emory University School of Medicine, a premier academic radiology department, encourages educational, teaching, scientific and research interests based on candidate interest.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must be ABR Board-certified/eligible, fellowship-trained from an accredited program, and eligible to obtain an unrestricted Georgia medical license. Faculty rank assigned will be commensurate with experience and accomplishments based on Emory University School of Medicine criteria.

The Department of Radiology, together with Emory University School of Medicine, is fully committed to the shared values of diversity and inclusion in order to achieve and sustain excellence.
