JOB DESCRIPTION:    

The Emory University Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences is seeking a Director to oversee the Body MRI program. 

 

Emory offers a vibrant and growing academic and clinical environment which includes 36 clinical magnets, 3 dedicated research magnets (two 3T and one 7T), and a clinical and research PET MR.  Magnets are supported by three PhD MR physicists who are dedicated to clinical MRI (technical operations, training/education, quality control, vendor collaborations, and innovation).

 

The Body MRI Director would oversee the Body MRI program at Emory Healthcare and would also support the Body MRI program at Grady Health. The Body MRI Director would be a member of the Abdominal Imaging Division which consists of 21 faculty, 6-8 abdominal imaging fellows per year, and provides diagnostic services for Emory Healthcare and Grady Health.

 

The Emory Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences is home to a large diagnostic radiology residency program (64 diagnostic radiology residents), a nuclear medicine residency program, an interventional radiology residency program, multiple fellowship programs, and a medical imaging school.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must be ABR Board-certified/eligible and eligible to obtain an unrestricted Georgia medical license. Candidates also must have completed a fellowship program in Abdominal or MR Imaging. Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience and accomplishments.
