Description

Attending would provide care on an inpatient behavioral health service at Emory Decatur Hospital with an expected coverage of 6-12 inpatients, which could include some supervision with residents and advance practice providers, provide coverage to the intake service (review referrals for admission to the unit, assess patients in the emergency room), assist the Chief of Clinical Services and Quality and other inpatient administrative tasks, and have one half-day per week of academic protected time to develop other interests. Clinical responsibilities could include coverage of the neuromodulation service. Call is expected to be between 3-4 weeks/year.  The attending would be expected to meet all psychiatry core measure standards.

 

 

Qualifications: Interested individuals should have an outstanding reputation for clinical inpatient care.  Candidates must have academic qualifications commensurate with an appointment at or above the level of Assistant Professor (open track).  An MD/DO degree is required as is ABPN board certification (or in process of obtaining within 2 years of hire) in general psychiatry.
