Description

The Emory Orthopaedics Department at Grady is recruiting a full-time, traumatologist to join the busy service at a Level I Trauma Center.
The incumbent will participate in the care of our trauma and critical care patients and demonstrate a commitment to the education of fellows and residents.
Applicants must have completed an accredited residency training program, Board Certified/Board Eligible Fellowship Trained Orthopaedic Surgeon with sub-specialty fellowship training in Trauma. Eligible for licensure in Georgia. Candidates should be committed to an academic surgical practice, research, and residentteaching.
We seek candidates with 4-5 years of experience in a Level I Trauma Center and strong national presence in AO and OTA. Faculty appointment will becommensurate with qualifications and experience.
Your responsibilities would include, but not be limited, to:
•Managing trauma patient care needs, operative and non-operative, with excellent clinical and interpersonal skills.
•Provides excellent patient management in the outpatient and inpatient setting and participates in on-call requirements.
•Expected to demonstrate a commitment to the education of fellows and residents. Your performance will be assessed based on a variety of factors, to include:Work RVU production, meeting Quality metric benchmarks (which are set annually), and fulfillment of Departmental Citizenship expectations (such as the timelycompletion of charts and surgical dictations, and attendance at faculty meetings/grand rounds/etc).
