Emory University School of Medicine's Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine seeks a Director of Anatomic Pathology / Surgical Pathology based at Grady Memorial Hospital. This renowned public academic hospital serves Atlanta and its surrounding communities. Grady’s anatomic pathology division handles approximately 14,000 surgical pathology specimens, 3,200 non-GYN cytology specimens, 8400 GYN cytology specimens, and 75 autopsies annually. Future growth is expected and adoption of Digital Pathology for primary diagnosis is on the horizon. The Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine of Emory University is one of the largest training centers for pathologists in the United States and offers unique and exciting teaching and research environments. Responsibilities of this position:
Applicants must possess MD or MD/PhD degrees, be board certified in Anatomic Pathology, and be eligible for medical licensure in Georgia. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in general surgical pathology and/or a subspecialty area and demonstrated leadership skills. Compensation and faculty rank (Assistant/Associate/Professor) will align with qualifications.
