Emory University Student Health Services and the Departments of Family and Preventive Medicine seek candidates for the position of Senior Director of Clinical Services, Emory University Student Health Services (EUSHS). This senior level clinical and administrative faculty physician reports directly to the EUSHS Executive Director.
Job Description:
The Senior Director of Clinical Services is instrumental in maintaining the high quality, inclusive, evidence-based care which supports the success of our diverse, bright, and ambitious students. This is a critically important position in our organization which requires a dynamic, motivational, and engaging leader who has strong clinical skills and is an experienced multidisciplinary supervisor. As part of the Executive Leadership Team at EUSHS, the senior director supervises the Director of Nursing Services and the Director of Psychiatry to ensure high quality, integrated clinical services for student and dependent patients. The ideal candidate must have a working knowledge of efficient, collaborative outpatient medical care, preferably within a Student Health Center or a practice that caters to a young adult population. This Senior Director must be able to shift seamlessly from supporting an individual student in crisis and their parents to representing EUSHS in addressing population health impacts and interventions on campus.

Position Requirements: MD or DO from an accredited medical or osteopathic medical school; completion of an accredited residency program and board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Med-Peds, Pediatrics-Adolescent Medicine, or Obstetrics-Gynecology; five (5) years of post-residency experience in practicing medicine in an ambulatory care environment; three (3) years of supervisory and administrative leadership experience; academic and professional accomplishments consistent with appointment as a Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine and General Internal Medicine, Emory University School of Medicine;
Preferred Skills
Superior communication, interpersonal and leadership skills; ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and departments in a complex and vibrant university and academic healthcare setting; and competency in the use of electronic health records. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in a college health setting and experience with AAAHC or Joint Commission Accreditations standards and processes.
